Black History Month Tour Policy

Due to the high volume of tour requests for the month of February, we have enacted a streamlined policy for tours during Black History Month.

  • Drop-in visitors are welcome to take a self-guided tour of the exhibits at any time.
  • Due to a high volume of visitors during the month of February, MTCC will only guarantee guided tours and programs scheduled through the education department at least 48 hours in advance. Drop-in visitors cannot be guaranteed a guided tour.
  • Tours and programs are only available at 9:00, 10:00 & 11:00 in the morning and 1:00, 2:00 & 3:00 in the afternoon.
  • All tours and programs are booked on a first come, first served basis using the standard booking procedure of the education department. *see above
  • Groups more than 20 minutes late forfeit their right to a guided tour or program and are welcome to a self-guided tour through the exhibits only.
  • The education department is only available to provide an outreach experience (where we bring the lesson to you) on Mondays during the month of February. During the rest of the week, staff are engaged in providing tours at the museum. There are a very limited number of timeslots available, so please book early.

To schedule a tour or for more information, please contact our education department at (501) 683-3592 or email [email protected].

Don’t forget that if you can’t come to visit us, there are always lesson plans and resource links on the website for you to use in the classroom!
