Not Forgotten: An Arkansas Family Album

"Not Forgotten: An Arkansas Family Album" is the newest exhibit at Mosaic Templars Cultural Center, opening June 6, 2017, and running through Sept. 2, 2017. The exhibit showcases photography by Nina Robinson.

In 2014, Nina Robinson’s grandmother and family matriarch fell ill. Compelled to visit her in Arkansas, Nina traveled from New York to document her passing and her family’s grieving process. Originally intended to be a brief visit, the trip stretched into a three-month stay, resulting in a series entitled “Not Forgotten: An Arkansas Family Album,” which explores life and loss.

Nina Robinson is a documentary influenced portrait photographer. Her work is a mixture of all of her past experiences, bridging documentary, personal, and fine art. She has been published in The New York Times, American Photo magazine, Lens Culture, The Wall Street Journal and has exhibited at the Bronx Documentary Center. Robinson is based in the South Bronx and Arkansas.

This exhibition was created by the Bronx Documentary Center.

This show was made possible through a grant from the Arkansas Natural and Cultural Resources Council, funded by the Arkansas Real Estate Transfer Tax.
