Holiday Open House

Holiday Open House

Open the holiday season at Mosaic Templars Cultural Center. This annual event is traditionally held the first Sunday in December and features the annual “Say It Ain’t Say’s" sweet potato pie contest in honor of Little Rock’s black Santa, Robert “Say” McIntosh. Join us each year for a a one-of-a-kind holiday experience with holiday music, sweet potato pies, children's activities, decorations and more!

Each year, we invite professional and amateur bakers to bring their best sweet potato pie and compete. Both categories will be judged by a panel of celebrity judges. The public will also have a chance to taste the pies and vote for the winner of the "People's Choice" award.

The 2017 Holiday Open House and pie baking contest will be Sunday, Dec. 3, from 2-5 p.m. In addition to the baking competition, the Holiday Open House will be emceed by Billy St. James and feature performances by Gloryland Pastor’s Choir and other local musical performers. The museum will also host a holiday craft-making station for children.

There is no cost to enter the contest, and it is open to the public. Participants are asked to bring a toy to donate to Say McIntosh's Toy Drive.
